The origin

Named for the hurry we used to be in.

Buttfire started as a joke between people who were always one meeting, one flight, one deadline behind — the kind of pace where you don't have time to sit with a cup, you just need it to work, fast, and get you where you're going.

We picked light roast on purpose. Less time in the drum means more of the bean's original density survives, and that means a sharper, more caffeinated cup than the dark stuff that gets roasted low and slow. It's the roast for people who need to move.

Every bag is whole bean, never pre-ground, because grinding on demand is the last five minutes of patience we're willing to ask of you.

Before you order

Why only light roast?

Light roast spends less time in the drum, so more of the bean's original density and caffeine content survives the process. It's brighter, more acidic, and hits harder — which is the entire point of the brand.

Do you sell ground coffee?

No, and we won't. Grinding is the one step we think you should do yourself, right before you brew — it's what keeps the coffee tasting like it did the day it was roasted.

Where do the beans come from?

We work with a single origin at a time, rotating the lot every few months as harvests change. The current origin and altitude are printed on every bag.

How fast do you ship?

Every batch is roasted to order and shipped within 48 hours of roasting. No warehouse sitting, no stale bags.

Do you offer a subscription?
